PARANOIA IN MONTEVIDEO

Now that I am back in Montevideo, the paranoia about home security appears to be as strong as ever, with barbed wire and electric fences rolled around fence tops along with barking dogs and endless security guards. I don’t believe that home security here is any better or worse than Canada or the UK, however, the phones ring constantly with somebody pushing more security devices and more and more wealthy people spend more and more money indulging their paranoia!
